Fresh Watermelon & Basil Gin Cocktail

It’s never too late in the summer for a fun Summer cocktail.  Especially when you are living in Atlanta and summer doesn’t  actually end for a couple more months.  I always found cocktails to be intimidating, but if you stick to the ratios and use fresh ingredients it’s hard to go wrong.

With half a watermelon in the fridge that wasn’t getting any fresher I decided to spice up one of my favorite drinks, watermelon water, with some booze.  Watermelon water is simply blended watermelon and it is the most refreshing drink you will ever taste.

With my bar  all set up I have been stocking it with some fun cocktail tools and goodies including 8  Mikasa Cheers Balloon Wine Goblets and WIN-WARE Boston Cocktail Shaker Gift Set.

Mmmm looks delicious! I don’t keep any gin in the house, but I wonder how it would taste with vodka…
